CASA trains and supports volunteers to advocate for the best interests of foster children in Berrien and St Joseph Counties
CASA of Southwest Michigan is dedicated to the health and safety of our children, volunteers and staff. Our offices will be closed until further notice, staff are available remotely. They are in our classrooms, daycares and on our streets. Here one minute; gone the next.
Kids in foster care live in a confusing and constantly changing world. They have to navigate that chaos each day. New homes, new workers, new schools, new everything.
A Court Appointed Special Advocate Volunteer, or CASA is appointed by the Court to advocate for the best interests of a foster child. We make sure their needs are met and their voice is heard. Court Appointed Special Advocates a consistent, adult presence for a child in care.
